I'm working on a quote for a new client. How much would you guys charge for fresh strawberries and blueberries in the filling of the cake? I buy my strawberries for 2.99/lb and blueberries normally are 3.99-4.99 for a small clamshell (not sure of the size of it)

Should I just charge her what I buy the fruit for?

Most of the time for something like that one would double the price paid. How much of that pound or clamshell will you actually use in the cake? It's all or almost all then dbl the price.
I'd like to hear what others think on this.

I would probably end up using pretty close to the full pound of strawberrys because its a 3 layer cake with 2 layers of frosting, she wants one to have strawberries and one to have blueberries. Anymore thoughts on this?

If you are using mostly all of the fruit, than I would charge double what you paid for.
