I am trying to make this shark cake, and call me crazy but I can not figure out the instructions that were written for it. or the guide???

How is the mouth cut to stand open like that with no support??

If you look at this link, I think one way of doing it is to stack rounds on top of each other, you will need some support in the cake to hold the upper tiers, however mak sure that they are inserted in a way, that you can carve straight down one side. Bottom cake is not carved (it's a full round) If you just cut straight down for the mouth to the bottom cake and then carve diagonally up from the mouth to the top of the head, you should be able to get the shape. Stack the cakes dry for carving, then take apart and insert the support dowels and fill. You will need stable cakes (no sponge etc)
