Storing Cricut Fondant Cut Outs

Thread Starter
I finally have a recipe and a system for getting great fondant cutouts on my cricut. icon_biggrin.gif But it does take a couple of days to make the fondant, get it ready to cut and some playing with the cricut to get good cuts. (Thank you Linda McClure!!!!! Your YouTube videos were fabulous! thumbs_up.gif )

My probably stupid question of the day is how long would you store the fondant cutouts before putting on a cake? And how would you store them? Also how long do you think they would keep? That is stay pliable enough to put on a cake without breaking.

I was thinking maybe putting them on a dusted cookie sheet covered in saran wrap and then the whole thing in a big zip lock.

Thanks!

I usually put mine between layers of plastic and then store in either a rubbermaid container or ziplock and they stay soft, probably because I use mmf, not sure, but this works for me. HTH

Lucy, I would love to know what fondant you use to get great cricut cutouts! Please, please, please do share!

Also I agree about storing in plastic to keep them soft.
