How thick should I roll the paste using a pasta machine?

The thinner the better, imo. At least if you're going for the realistic look.
Let them eat cake. I'd rather be decorating them anyway.

I make my petals individually so I don't use a pasta roller for them. I roll very thin with just a small wooden rolling pin and then cut and shape the petals to dry.
