I'm making a cake with the ruffles made by using a circle. I tried to find pictures of one but can't. Anybody have tips for doing this?

If you're trying to pipe ruffles with buttercream, you'd most likely want to use a petal tip.

Using a circle what? A circle cutter with fondant?
