What in the world it is? I googled it, but don't understand the point. Do these things actually get stuck into the cake? How do I do that neatly? Where do I get the charms? Is it something the bride needs to provide? Quick search makes these charms look really expensive...
Please help.
Thanks, P

Oh, I did a cake with one of them years ago. As I recall, I bought several charms from the craft section of Walmart, and tied them to matching ribbon.
I did not stick the charms in the cake, but rather put a few under each tier as I was stacking, and left a bit of the ribbon loop out. (That's how I did it anyway; I'm sure there are other ways.)
The charms and ribbon did not cost much at all, maybe $20 total for 6.

My aunt gave me a kit of charms for my cousins cake a couple of years ago. I actually forgot to add one of the charms so glad they didn't notice. I added the charms to the bottom layer so you could remove the charms easily. Usually you will see little ribbons and each pull out a charm. It is supposed to be good luck.

I remember these! The ones I remember had the charms baked into the cake, but Martha Stewart suggests baking a bundt cake and then putting them in the middle (much neater that way, for sure).

Have you tried Amazon or your local party store for charms?

Charms in wedding cakes is a common practice where I live. If a Bride would like this then she needs to provide them for the cake. There should be one charm for each bridesmaid. You can tuck them under the border of the bottom tier. Some people like to wrap them in tape so they don't get frosting on them.
