What is a good filling for a WASC cake that is not fruit? I'm thinking maybe a fruit mixed with bettercream would be ok? (I have a shipment of bettercream coming in from a friend - I've never used it yet). Any ideas?

Thank you!

I made a WASC cake for my daughter's graduation party a couple days ago. I used vanilla cream cheese mousse for the filling. It was awesome! I also added rainbow sprinkles to the cake mix as my daughter requested a confetti cake.

What flavor is the cake? (My *original* WASC recipe can be made using ANY cake flavor).
Mixing fruit w/ "bettercreme" is greaticon_smile.gif So is any sleeved filling. I and many of my customers *loved* bavarian creme - a vanilla custard type filling. There are citrus curds; and lots of cream type fillings too. I sometimes used canned pie fillings - chocolate, coconut custard, etc.

Kakeladi....
My family are huge fans of your WASC recipe and I've done it in several different flavours, but the one we love the most is Almond flavor. My daughter is getting married in October and she has already said that the cake will be Almond WASC with Almond IMBC! And I totally agreed! Thanks for a great and versatile recipe! thumbs_up.gif

My all time favorite filling with WASC is chocolate ganache. It's awesome. And I've gotten great responses when I've recommended it to customers
