Hiya I haven't seen any tutorials sorry, You'll really want to spend your time getting good sharp edges to the bottle, stack, fill and chill your cake then carve one last time to get really straight sides and make just a tall rectangle cake without trying to make the stopper out of cake.
Crumb coat in white chocolate ganache and when set use white ganache again to get really good sharp edges and then cover in one sheet of your coloured fondant. Before the fondant dries spend time on the bottle edges again to get them crisp.
To get the glass look use lots of 'edible varnish' or make sheets of 'sugar glass' (lots of tutorials online), and set them against the sides and top, finally model your stopper out of gum paste.
