A while back I saw a book cake that was textured but I can't find the thread. Everytime I try, I get a "fatal error." Any advice you are willing to share will be appreciated.

Can anyone explain how to get the texture. Whoever did the cake...made it look old and thought the technique was interesting. It was one of those things where you see it when you are short on time and when you try to go back. Poof, its gone!

are you looking to make the books look like old leather?. you can try scrunching up plastic wrap or even a brown paper bag and opening it up and rolling over it to imprint on your fondant, kind of looks like old leather.
