I just casted an isomalt heart and it wont hold its shape really well; when I pick it up it starts to bend/curve. I need to put it on a sugar piece for class and it will be on its side on the top of the piece without much support. Is there a way to fix it? If I remelt it in the microwave and recast it will that help?

Thanks for your help,
Kendra

Did you heat the isomalt to the correct temperature? Once it has cooled enough it shouldn't bend or curve it should be solid.

Are you using a recipe calling for glucose? If so, don't (:
