6Qt Mixer How Many Cake Mixes Fit?

Does anyone know if you can put three cake mixes into a 6 qt KA mixer and mix well without redecorating your kitchen with cake batter?
I just today tried and IT DOES NOT WORK! 2 is the max if you actually want batter to make it from mixer to pan...grrrrrrrrrrr huge mess
I don't use mixes, but the batter for scratch should be close. I can put 3x the recipe in the 6 qt with a little room left. Be sure to use your guard and mix on stir until the ingredients incorporate.
The 5 qts will only hold 2.
Yep 3 mixes will work, here is what I did. I was a little apprehensive, but put all three mixes in and the wet ingredients. Took my spatula and stirred until it was incorporated to avoid it splashing out everywhere. Started on low and then to med. Thanks everyone who replied. This has saved me so much time, my 6 quart mixer is going to get used more and more now!
I tried 3 mixes once and it was disastrous! But maybe with the smaller sizes, it will work.
I always mix 3 at a time. I put in the eggs, water, oil and sour cream. Mix this well on low speed just to break the eggs. Then I add the cake mixes (one at a time) to which I have added one box of instant pudding to each bag while the mixer is running on low. Once all bags of mix has been added, I turn the mixer up to medium and time it for 2 minutes. Never a mess just well mixed cake batter.
Whenever I know I am going to multiply a recipe and max out my 6 qt. mixer I start with my bowl down and gradually raise it and I make sure to use the splash guard. This is the same way I use the mixer to make large batches of butter cream using up to 6 lbs of confectioner's sugar!
I regularly do 4 mixes. I start with the mix, eggs and oil. Keep it on
the lowest speed and gradually add water. Stop and & scrape before
adding the last 1/2 cup.
I have always done 3 mixes at a time. Four mixes fit but I recomment using the splash guard and start up slow
if using the WASC recipe plus a box of pudding per cake mix - I can fit 3 box mixes (plus other ingredients)....but you have to use the shield, the batter will go over the bowl when mixing.
I can fit four DH cake mixes in my 6 qt mixer with splash guard. Its very full, but it works. Three is optimum.
