I need help with pastry tips! I am looking for a jumbo round pastry tip to make a perfect circle on top of cupcakes, please help! Would Ateco #809 do it?
I want it to look like this, which tip would be achieve this?
I think you would just use a large round tip, like a 12 from Wilton, and hold the tip in the icing as you pipe to not get any lines.
Do you think they piped the icing with a large tip then lightly went over it with a spatula to smooth and pull off making the point?
Is the opening of the tip wide?

Here's a list of the round tips. The #1A and the #2A look like they would be better than tip 12 because they have a bigger opening. Hope this helps.
Pastry tips/nozzles/tubes go up to 3/4-inch/19mm in diameter. Cake decorating tips/nozzles/tubes go up to about 11/16-inch/17.5mm. An Ateco 809 would be a common one.
