I am making this wedding cake for a friend and she does not want a fondant cake. How did they make these shiny pearls? The silver dust by Wilton is not shiny enough. I did a practice test today using a very crusting buttercream. I got the pearls to come out looking great...but I'm having serious trouble getting the sliver color right without warping the pearl shapes. I do not have an airbrush machine. HELP! icon_cry.gif

I say you should buy different sized dragees. That will be easier, perhaps not cheaper but definitely easier.

I agree with jamiekwebb, looks like a mixture of pearl and silver dragees.

Those pearls are definitely not piped! If she only wants buttercream then she's gonna have to sacrifice that look
