We have a group of volunteers that occasionally make dinner for the Ronald McDonald house in the area and I volunteered to make the cake. It's a fall theme and there will be kids and adults. Any ideas?

Here are some photos I found.. Maybe you can do a BCT of one of these and add some trees to either side with icing and make some orange/red leaves from fondant and lay them around the tree and around the cake to give the fall theme..Good Luck!

This isn't an idea, but Mary Ann, as a parent who had to spend some time in a Ronald McDonald House when my baby son had heart surgery, I want to thank you and the others in your group who volunteer. Every little bit of normalcy helps ... believe me! I now bake every week for the RMDH in our area.

For the record, my son is now 10 months old with a clean bill of health. Good luck on the cake. thumbs_up.gif

Thanks JillK. I'm looking forward to making something fun for the kids that will hopefully provide a small distraction for the parents. I'm glad to hear your little guy is doing well.

Mary-Ann,
How about using the "standup house cake" pan from Wilton. I have seen it at Michaels. You could do the heart and Ronald's hand on the front of the house.

Here's the link:

I decided to stay with the fall theme. Check my photos to see what I ended up with. Thanks for all your suggestions.
