Are there any recommendations on the best way to go about making a mickey mouse face cake. I do not have the pan, I am hoping to use three round pans to make it. The problem is in the request for no fondant and no star tip. Can it be done? If so, how is the best way to go about it? Thank you for your help!
How about an FBCT (a frozen buttercream transfer)? Tape a reverse print of your design to a cardboard base and tape a piece of plastic or waxed paper over it. Do the outlines first, then fill in with buttercream that's a little runnier than normal. Fill in the things that will be at the "front" of the design first and then the things that will be in the background. Freeze it, turn it over on the cake and carefully pull the plastic or waxed paper off and add any details you'd like to. Here's one I did that way (the Bratz head is FBCT and I put the fondant jewelry on afterwards):
