Hi everyone!
I'm thinking of doing a barbie cake, using the wonder mold doll pan. just wondering if anyone who has done it has any suggestions? Also, did you use the doll pick or a real doll? I would like to use a real barbie and just wrap her legs to protect her, do you think I could just insert her, or would you suggest cutting an area out of the middle for her?
Any suggestions help!

I use doll picks but you could use a Barbie. She'll be too tall, most likely, so you might need an 8 inch round underneath the wonder mold to make the skirt tall enough.

I'd cut out a little area for her. Her hips are wider than the hole left by the heating core.

I made one recently for our great niece and she wanted a "Barbie" so I bought the most
inexpensive Barbie to put in the wonder mold. The dolls's body was wrapped in plastic wrap from
the waist down and I made a hole in the center of the cake to fit her in. Since the dolls have such long legs, I baked an 9 inch (1 layer) cake and set the wonder mold cake on top of that. It was pretty easy to do.

I recently did a Tangled cake. I covered the top of the doll and the legs with Press 'n Seal. I chilled the cake and while it was cool I pushed the doll through the existing hole. Also, the dolls are too tall for just the cake mold. So there was an additional cake on the bottom that became a part of her dress~or could have been used as a pedestal.
