i have been asked to make a cake that incorporates, the disney castle, the disney ride soarin and mickey and minnie mouse but the cake is for a adult and i have been asked that it look like a adults cake and not one for children
have no idea how i am going to do this

That is a tall order!
Maybe a tiered cake with the castle on top with fontant plaques going around of the different attractions? During Soarin', the ride flies over the castle if you wanted to try to make a little hanglider above the castle.

I wouldn't focus too much on them asking that it NOT look like a child's cake...it's DISNEY. They market to bring out the kids in all adults. But I guess just shy away from anything too cartoony...take it more literally and use bold perhaps primary colors. When you represent Mickey and Minnie, perhaps use their essence, meaning don't put cutesy faces on them but maybe just represent them by their ears only, with minnie having like a solid red bow to identify her. Keep it simple, literal and not over done with decorations. I hope that made some sense.... It did in MY head...
