I don't think it's enough. You have to figure what it costs for you to make and the time you are putting into it. I would also check around with other bakers in your area and see what they are charging so your price is competative.
I consider a basic birthday cake 1 tier, buttercream, with lettering. Those I price by the size(extra charge for added decorations or fondant). Anything 2 tiers and up I price by the serving. HTH

How much are you spending in ingredients for the cake, and how many hours will it take you to complete the order (including prep, baking, decorating, and cleanup)? Also, how much overhead do you have? (Some states require licensed and inspected commercial kitchens to legally sell food, so if you live in one of those states you'll need to find commercial kitchen space and include that cost in your price.)

Our starting price for that cake would be in the $200-250 range plus delivery, this is in CA so it includes commercial kitchen rent and additional overhead for inspection fees, etc.

I'm not an expert...but my first gut check says...too low. I think even our local Walmart would charge more.

I just did one and it took me $60 in ingredients and materials alone...

My standard response to everyone asking about pricing is that, unfortunately, we can't tell you. There are far too many variables: ingredients/skill level/geographic location, and so on.

Here is an excellent article about how to price cakes:
