Hello everyone! My husband bought me a cricut machine for Christmas. I tried using it once with the Wilton sheets and it was a disaster. I watched the cd that it came with but I must be doing something wrong. Do you know if I can use fondant or gum paste instead of the sheets?

Hi.
I have a cricut cake machine and I use wilton sheets all the time. I put a little extra crisco than is suggusted. I have the speed and the pressure set at 2. I also use straight modeling chocolate and it works wonderful. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Shelby to you chill your modeling chocolate first or just roll it out straight on the mat?
I've had success with icing sheets but haven't tried any other medium after all the frustrations I saw posted online.

I don't chill the modeling chocolate or anything else I use the cricut for. for some reason I've never had any luck with it.
