Hi. I'm new to cupcakes and am totally self taught and slightly confused. i have decided to do some vintage rose cupcakes for a friends engagement and not sure how to build them up. i have my cake and buttercream and fondant etc. Do i fill the cup or just put a thickish layer on top before i add the decorations and topper. any help would be really appreciated.
thanks Becky x

I am unsure what your question is. Are you asking how to fill the liners with batter or how to decorate? icon_confused.gif

You can fill with anything and I would use a light layer of buttercream frosting to stick the fondant to. But there are a million different ways!

Hey there i have a rose cupcake tutorial on my blog that i wrote a month ago if your interested. i just use coloured butter cream and pipe it into a rose shape but as bridgette said there are many other ways to do it.

Hope that helps.
