I need to make a black record and I don't want to use gumpaste because it will lighten the black fondant. If I add GumTex, will it harden well? If so, how much to use?
I can't wait until I know everything there is to know about cake decorating.

Yes, gum tex is alot like mixing gumpaste into it.
As far as how much, I just go by feel. In one of the wilton course books I want to say it said 1 teaspoon to 12 oz of fondant.
