does anyone have any unique or good ideas for an "airbrush box", or ideas of where you do your airbrushing. i currently have a box with top and side cut out, it works out pretty well, but wanted to get input as to what other decorators do when they dont have a huge space.... thanks in advance

Earlene has instructions on her site to build a folding air brush booth. It folds for storage so it doesn't take up a lot of room. Google Earlene Moore and check it out.

A box shield can be anything from a 3-fold cardboard diorama from the craft store to a cut up cardboard box.

However, a box shield will only get you so far.... it blocks overspray, but bounces it back at you.
If you're doing small-scale or accent project, a box will be fine.

As soon as you step up to airbrushing luster on a multi-tier cake, you'll come up against the limitations of a shield box.

At some point, you'll want to investigate a filtered fan system.

If airbrush is a growning part of your work, I'd seriously look into the Cake Safe spray booth. It is small and easy to store but very powerful. Mine have gone cross country and been part of my classes... can't get along without them.
