Hi everyone,

I just recently purchased an ice cream scoop from a cake supplier and I have a container of cupcake cases, however when i scoop some cupcake batter into the cupcake case it seems to be too full, I am wondering do I have the wrong size cases, are their different sizes, Would I need to use muffin cases or are they too big for a cupcake? The scoop is the size of 55mm in diameter. At the moment I am only putting half a scoops worth of batter in. Any help would be greatly appreciated icon_smile.gif

Hi,

I think that your scoop is too big. I would use maybe a 40mm or 45mm. you want to get at leat a 1/4 cup of batter into your cupcake cup. Try scooping some batter into a measuring cup using your scoop and see how much it really amounts too.

This would be for standard cupcake cases. I would use the 50mm for larger/jumbo cupcake cases.

Hi there msthang icon_smile.gif

thankyou for that tip. I will try that and while I don't have the right size cupcakes I will just use my 1/4 size measure cup icon_biggrin.gif
