i am making my first ever topsy turvy cake. it will be three tiers, 10in, 8in, and 6in and i'm not sure how much support to give it. is putting bubble straws in each tier and 'gluing' them together w royal icing going to be enough to support it, or should i 'build' a structure? i just really want this cake to be nice and sturdy. thanks so much for your help icon_smile.gif

I think that it really depends on the method that you use to make the topsy turvy. The way I make mine I carve out the bottom tiers so that the one above sits level. I use the say supports that I would for any stacked cake.
