Hey all, I am working on a simple wedding shower cake. It is only one tier, white fondant with calla lillies, roses and a ranunculus on top. How would you design the sides and what type of bottom border would you use? I was thinking of doing a big bow on the front but thought that might be too much. Then I was thinking maybe doing scroll work on the sides. I'm just not sure what. I have free reign on the cake other than the bride mentioned simple, elegant, whites and pinks for a winter wedding.

Any ideas?

If there are going to be a lot of flowers on the top I would leave the sides bare. With maybe a lace border on the bottom.
I you wanted something on the sides I would maybe pipe some small dots and snowflakes (to go with the theme) but I would probably not cover the whole thing... cover half the sides with the pattern the other half leave plain but divide the halves on an angle (it's hard to describe but if you were looking at it the left side of the pattern would start at the top and go to the bottom on the right side. .... does that make sense?
Make sure you post pics when you are done!!
