Has anyone taken the wilton advanced gumpaste class yet? Was looking for some reviews of the class,
The class has not been put into the Wilton Class line up until February. I was at the training session last weekend and if you have not worked with gumpaste making a lot of flowers you will love it. Of course, if you already do a lot of gumpaste and wired flowers it may not be challenging enough for you. Still, I am very glad to see this course begin as a lot of students will love it and learn a lot. I think you will like it and remember, the class will be what you make of it.

I signed up too in my area - can't wait. Just hope the class has enough students. Sometimes they cancel the class if there aren't enough students. BLAH!
I'm a Wilton instructor and I teach classes with only one student. For awhile we were instructed to hold classes with at least two but now it's 4 unless the Michaels manager approves less. Mine always does.
I'm really excited about this class - it'll be fun and the flowers are beautiful.
Four years ago when I was taking the Wilton classes, my instructor got permission to teach an informal 4-week gumpaste flower class based on the (old) gumpaste flower kit. We had a lot of fun and learned A LOT. We made a random sampling of the flowers in the book. I've moved far beyond "the Wilton way" now but I use techniques I learned in that class on EVERY SINGLE flower I make. So, IMO, totally worth the time and money.

Here is what Wilton has put up on their website about the class.
I've been working on making sample flowers for the class. They are very pretty. It is a basic intro to gum paste flower. If you haven't worked with them before it would be a good starting point for you to expand on later.
