Hello all,
Since my last forum, I've been getting some cake orders in. Ive been doing a great job, for a hobbyist. Anyway this last order has got me stumped. My client wants a "night in Paris" cake. She wants a 12 in bottom with a 10 in top with pillars to separate the cakes. Almost like a wedding cake. Anywho, where the pillars are she wants Eiffel towers and on top of the cake she wants a castle. I'm stumped on the Eiffel tower and the castle topper. I've seen some castle toppers but none worth purchasing for her cakes because the cake is practically free seeing that I don't yet have a business front or license and I dont want to break any laws. Does anyone know how to make a fondant castle cake topper or know where I can get an Eiffel tower cookie cutter? This cake is due in three weeks and I'm panicing because I don't want to tell her I can't make the cake last minute. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi
You could buy styrofoam cones and cylinders and cover them in fondant. Or i heard some ppl buy sugar cones made for ice cream and cover those in fondant to serve as the ccastle peaks.
You can try www.offthebeatenpath.com or www.amazon.com for the Eiffel tower cookie cutter. they are like $1.20
