I need to make ganache just for crumb coating before fondant, but I don't have heavy cream and don't want to take my baby out in the cold!!! I have regular cream and 2% milk. Has anyone ever tried it with either of these, if you're not going for taste??

Thanks!

Regular cream? I guess I don't know what you mean by "regular".

I think you should be fine.. but expect it to have a lighter taste and it will take longer to set up.... I have made ganache with soy and almond milk before with great results... I would have to imagine the results would be similar.... I would maybe add a little less milk than you would heavy cream.
