I am looking for a cream cheese icing that I can pipe all the way up the side of a 3 inch cake. Any suggestions?

Try using shortening mixed with the crmchs. Make sure to keep the cake in a cool place.

1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening
1 pound cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon clear vanilla extract
3 1/2 pounds sifted confectioners sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
