Monday the health department came and checked out my kitchen and I am officially open! I am still in awe. It has been 8 long, hot months since we started and to be able to walk in and start caking is wonderful.
I am still trying to sort out how the layout will work best, but it is coming together. I will post pictures soon! I am so thankful for a husband who was so supportive...
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! You know I would set up my kitchen and supplies how I set up my home kitchen as much as possible. what ever works for you at home the best is going to help you at your commercial kitchen because you won't be thinking now where would I have put what ever item you are looking for till you get used to it. what ever logic you use at home use at your commercial kitchen in regards to where you put utensils and so forth. Also know that there is no reason at all that you can't switch things around if you come up with a better idea in the midst of doing your baking or decorating. If you can't stop what you are doing at the very time the idea pops in your mind for a better way then at least write yourself a quick little post it and continue what you are doing. Best wishes.
