Hi

I am about to attempt using MP for the first time and I read that it is perfect for plaques since it is not as flexible as fondant and gumpaste.

I also read that it dries out rather quickly and becomes very hard the next day after curing so I was wondering if I could use it to make larger "plaques" like for the sides of a wine crate box. Will the MP give me enough time to roll out these larger sizes? Will it be difficult to knead large pieces of MP to a workable stage?

Do you add the gel paste colour to the water and then add that to the dry ingredients?

Does it colour well?

If I use Marion Frost's recipe, can the gum tragacanth be replaced with CMC / tylose in the same quantities?

Looking forward to your responses.

Stacey
