What's the best way to paint a face on a gum paste fairy? I'm thinking that I'm going to try some edible dust mixed with vodka. Is that the best way?

Hi ive just done a fairy cake and i painted the face on the same way you are saying the dust and vodka and useda 000 size brush. I hate the pens i cant get the detail the same as with the brush.
