Hi,
I am trying to locate a cherry or cherry chip cake mix. I looked on some websites and find that walmart lists it from betty crocker. but none on there shelf. I am going to try another store. I was going to make one from scratch or doctor up a white cake mix but it will cost me more than the cake that it is going in by the time I doctor up the cake mix with buying the jars of cherries, and other ingredients and i am on only making two 6 in cakes.

I am in northwest ohio.

I'm starting to think they have discontinued it for the moment as they switch to the smaller boxes.

If you check the link below, it can tell you if they have any in your area.

If the link doesn't work or disappears in CC fashion, go to the betty crocker website and click on products - cake mixes and then go to the product locator.

As a last option, here is a link to a cherry chip recipe:

I make a cherry cake using a white cake mix and the WASC recipe.

1 box white cake mix
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
3 eggs
1 jar marschino cherries, chopped
Juice from the cherries plus water to make 1 c. of liquid
1 T vanilla

Very moist and great cherry flavor

I'm a fan of the famous Betty Crocker Cherry Chip Cake Mix and it is extremely hard to find in local stores. There are a few stores online that do carry the cake mix to my surprise. Amazon, Green Shopping Market and Lane & Wiseman Co. have the cake mix. I've ordered a few boxes for the holidays just because the cake mix is limited . I hope this helps youicon_smile.gif.  If your really not into Betty Crocker Cherry Frosting , which is amazing try the Betty Crocker Cream Cheese Frosting and add some cherries as the filling it's great as well. Well enjoy!!
