Ok...ya know those yummy cookies you find at the mall or anywhere really. They have the buttercream on top or are filled with buttercream?
Anyone know the recipe to achieve that kind of buttercream icing? It us so freakin good and would be delicious on top of cupcakes.
There has to be a way to mimic that icing. [/code]
ooooh the soft sugar cookies with the pink or white icing and sprinkles?? One of my faves!! I have no idea.. LOL, sorry! But I make a sub, using basically Wiltons BC recipe, but I sub heavy whipping cream for the water or milk. It makes it a lil fluffier, and when it crusts you can even smooth it out.. Mmmm.. yummy.
I went to Karen's website (I think anyway, there are a lot of karen's).. . are you talking about the meringue powder recipe?
Sweetlepea - I know! Aren't those cookies soo good. I could make myself sick eating those!!
If you keep going down (in the recipes section) there's a butter cream recipe also. I actually just tried the cream cheese cookie recipe today and loved it!!
This is what I came up with and it's so good. It does crust slightly after a while so you can stack the cookies. As close to Lofthouse as I could get.
