Hi guys.
Well I made an ice hockey cake for a 21st birthday last week. The cake was chocolate mud cake with a White chocolate ganache filling. Covered in White choc ganache then fondant. The cake was to be eaten on Saturday. I baked on the Tuesday, Ganached on the Wednesday and covered in fondant Wednesday.
I've been eagerly waiting some feedback as it was my first bash at a chocolate cake and I had not heard anything, so I called my friend who had gotten me the order from a lady she works with and they've not eaten the cake yet!!!!!
I'm totally freaking out as I don't want to poison anybody. Does anybody know if this cake will still be ok?
Thanks in advance icon_smile.gif

Don't worry about it, especially since the cake is mud cake. The fat and sugar content is so high, plus it is airtight with the ganache and fondant, that there is no way that cake is going mouldy!! If anything, mud cake improves over time - a regular sponge cake might be on its way out by now. I'm sure it will be delicious when they finally cut into it.
