I'm looking to make a cake without the use of fondant. I use ganache under my fondant and I get it really smooth, so I'm not worried about that part. I just would like to see some pictures that you guys have made or links to someone that doesn't work with fondant. Any help would be great, thanks.

I frost all my cakes in Indydebi's bc, and then embellish with fondant. You can check out my cakes to see how that turns out. I'll be glad to answer any specific questions.

I have never used fondant. You can look through my pics to see some all butter cream ideas. Also check out seriouscakes.com She doesn't use fondant at all either.

With he exception of a handful of cakes that have marzipan or fondant decorations, all of my stuff is frosted and decorated in butter cream. Check out my pictures, and ask any questions you might have.

I also try to use BC wherever possible because my family doesn't like the taste of fondant. However, It may be a little difficult to smooth.
Search seriouscakes on youtube. She has great video tutorials on how to work with all buttercream.
