put fondant over an ice cream cake? just wondering. I'm looking for fun ideas for my sister and my birthday that I'm merging since our birthdays are 7 days apart....

Technically you can but i wonder what type of cutting issues you may have being that you have to keep the cake frozen.

I wouldn't. I can imagine the moisture from the icecream turning the fondant into a slimy, goopy mess. Even if it worked it wouldn't be a nice combo to eat anyway.

I can't imagine the cake (ice cream) not softening while trying to put the fondant on and then trying to smooth it. But if you decide to try it, let us know...

I would have to agree and say no to this one. But then there's a first time for everything! I would definately do a trial run. Very curious to see how this goes if you decide to do it icon_razz.gif
