Has anyone used Medacasse vanilla? And if so, how does it compare to Nielsen-Massey if you have used both?
Thanks for any advice!

I use different vanillas in different recipes, and usually two types in each recipe. I use mostly VBP by NM and homemade With Grey Goose Vodka. I don't strain my homemade, so I get the beans in that too. So experiment and have fun.

Has anyone had experience with Dominican vanilla? I bought some From the Dominican Republic, through a paypal site, so I tried to get the real stuff. But, I don't like the aroma of the light or the dark. It still may have been fake, but until I know what I'm looking for, I can't tell. I will hate to just give up on it if what I have is fake. And any info on how to get the authentic product would be appreciated.
