octagon cake pan

I bought a set of used octagon cake pans. While washing them for use the water came out of the bottom corners. Would cake batter also drip out of the corners?

Where did you buy them? Who made them? I would definitely call the seller, and maybe even call the manufacturer. With the cost of pans, I wouldn't want to take any chances. Better handled right away.

It might depend on the size of the hole and the thickness of your batter. There IS a chance it would, yes, but not absolutely.

since you said you bought USED pans, and you probably can't return them, just take a small piece of aluminum foil that is coated in Crisco and place it in the corner that has the leak. Dust with flower and fill up the pan. Just remember to remove the foil when it comes out of the pan!

Update. I used the octagon pans and they worked beautifully. No leaks. I used parchment paper in the bottom. Thanks to all for your assistance.
