Gotta love them!! Clients sent picture of this cake. After emails and quotes they only need (want to pay) for 15 servings. LOL

Sure, charge them for the whole cake, then cut out 15 pieces and give the rest to your friends.

You mean they wanted to pay $45 so they figured it would be 15 servings....rofl.

1/2 a cake used to be a serving for my teenage son... icon_wink.gif

Cool cake though....

That's why I have a minimum order amount, before I quote serving sizes and price. They might as well have a larger cake for the price of a small one, but for me to turn on my oven, mixer, haul all the ingredients out and clean up afterwards, then to decorate everything, it must be worth my while. I don't have a bakery and my recipes make more than a 6 inch, so what to do with the leftover dough? My base price is calculated at the price of one recipe, plus overhead and decorating time, that's why a 6 inch costs the same as a 8 inch

Wow, that's a nice cake. Tell them that the 15 serving cost the same as the total cake even if its Styrofoam. Decorating hours & supplies = same cost. Or like some one else said, which tier did they want? I agree too with the min charge. Maybe when I can start charging, that's what I' ll do.
