so i seen the new icing sheets at Michael's and thought i'd give them a try-they printed ones were really cute! i purchased a white one with itty bitty pink hearts and a black and white patterened one. so i made a baby shower crib cake, i put a solid pink paper sheet on it, and the printed hearts sheet. person comming to get the cake had to delay pick up by two days. so i decided to wrap the cake up very well and freeze. day of pick up took it out of the freezer, unwrapped it in my airconditioned house and waited for pick up. well-the hearts melted right off the white icing sheet! in my defense-no where on the package did it state not freezer friendly. thank goodness i did not put the black and white printed sheet on!! i ended up having to cover it up with white fondant that i painted little pink hearts onto. not really as clean as i wouldl of liked-(pics in my photos) so just a heads up-the wilton icing sheets do not like the freezer!! hope that nobody else tries this with disasterous results!! on a side note-i really liked the sheets! they are so cute!!

Wow! Good to know. I've not tried them yet, but I thought there may be a good application for some of the printed sheets. I was told cookie cutters don't work on them, that you have to get the punches to cut out shapes. Is that true, do you know?

i have not tried cookie cutters on them, but i think that if you had a sharp edge to your cookie cutter it might cut through the sheets. i used sizzors and it worked great. so you could always trace and cut the shapes out. i'm not sure about the big investment in purchasing all those punches for an occassional application! icon_lol.gif
