Hi,
its an emergency , I just finished a car cake for my friend's son for tomorrow, the cake is a combination of butter cream and fondant. The base of the cake is covered with buttercream icing and car is made of fondant.
How should i store it, can I place it in refridgerator or should i place it outside. Please advice what shall i do to store it right, so that it stays fine atleast the birthday boy sees it and the candles are blown (emotions - worried)..
Thank you icon_smile.gif

Most buttercreams are fine at room temperature. If you haven't used anything perishable in the cake (eg fillings like fresh fruit, egg custard, whipped cream etc), then I would store at room temperature.

The icing will keep your cake from drying out, so there is no need to cover it. I wouldn't put it in an air tight container if there is fondant on it, because the moisture in the icing could cause problems with the fondant. If you do want to store it in something, then put it in a cardboard cake box.
