Do you always offer a tasting to brides? And if so, do you charge for it? I can't justify making 4 different cakes just to let them taste a bite of each? icon_confused.gif

TIA

I offer To-Go tastings to anyone that wants to pay for it! I charge $25 per tasting (thinking of increasing it to $35?), and I give them four flavors and 3 fillings to try. If they book with me, the tasting fee is applied to their deposit.

When I have leftover batter, I bake 6" rounds, and then cut them in quarters, wrap them tight in plastic wrap and freeze them. I can just grab them and go when I have tastings icon_smile.gif
