If you are applying fondant accents on top of a fondant covered cake do you have to air dry them before applying them? When do you air dry and when can they be applied directly to the cake?

You should be able to put them directly on the cake. a couple of times if i thought they were going to stretch., i will place them in the freezer for 5 minutes, pick them up and place them on the cake.

If the accent is something that you want to stand up away from the cake, it should be dried first, otherwise, no.
