I am reposting this hoping to get a response, maybe I am posting it to the wrong place or person. I posted in the tech support over two weeks ago and pm'ed Jackie over a week ago but still haven't gotten any responses. This is driving me nuts. I can't figure it out. I am guessing it is me doing something wrong but for the life of me, I can't figure it out.

I am making an assumption here but I'm guessing that cakes with no keywords don't show up in the search. I might be wrong but that is what I am finding so far. I am guessing that others and myself needed to add keywords for our photos to show up on searches. Is there any way to add keywords into already uploaded photos or maybe have the search bring up titles as well? All except my last two photos don't show up in the searches I am guessing since I didn't add keywords when I loaded those photos.

What type of cake are you looking for?? Because you can also browse the gallery without having to type in a search.

You're right, I tried it myself. I had a bit of trouble finding one that had a word in the name that wasn't in the description. I found the "Silky Swiss Dots" cake, and searched for "silky" with no return.

I've designed a few websites but don't know much about forums. Sorry I wish I could help more, but I really don't know, and gotta get back to work myself. : )

I'm not certain, since I'm new here... but I think you are correct. And if this is so, it is a pity that not more cake photos are entered with keywords.

I have felt like starting a thread encouraging keywords to be entered. But haven't since I'm not sure if maybe I'm not just doing something wrong when searching.

The gallery search function does seem to have some problems. I have searched for cakes that I knew had a particular keyword and it still did not show up. I am not sure why that happens since I am not all that computer savvy but I know enough to know that searches can be difficult to program.

It would also be nice to be able to search the gallery by someones logon name.

I usually just browse through the appropriate category to find what I am looking for.

Thanks guys!! It's comforting to know I am not alone. I was beginning to wonder if it was just me that was having this problem. Right now I am not searching for any particular cake. I was almost three weeks ago when I posted but I did finally find that one. All of my saved photos disappeared out of my saved folder, not sure when but I found out about two or three weeks ago. Since then, I have been having a hard time finding them again. I am guessing that is due to no words or the wrong ones that I am looking for in the keyword section. Until I had this problem, I was not entering any keywords. I guess I just assumed (should have known better) that the titles would be picked up in a search.

I think it would be a good idea to encourage entering keywords as I don't see cakes showing up in the search function without keywords.

I know they are busy but hopefully, Jackie, Heath or someone who knows about this search function will see this and give me their response.

Yes the search only works with keywords right now. It is on our list to upgrade the search to check titles and descriptions but we are not sure when that will be done.

We will be sure to post once it has been upgraded so that everyone is aware.
