Hey everyone! I'm new to cake central! I just started my own little "bakeshop" starting off with my basic cupcakes- cake and frosting with sprinkles. I am going to eventually move on to the complicated decorated cupcakes, cake pops, and maybe muffins! NO CAKES! -just not my thing. ON that note, my question is..

I have my first three orders, they were short notice. I wasn't planning on launching my little adventure for a few more months but I brought some cupcakes to work yesterday and started a frenzy!

I need cupcake/cake boxes that hold at least 1 dozen. I went to Micheal's craft store today just to get the two I needed for next week. I can't possibly pay $2 a box and make a profit.

Does anyone know a GOOD, reasonably priced online box vendor?

Also, what size do I need to fit a dozen cupcakes? They are standard size.

14 X 10 X 4 " holds 12 cupcakes. I get mine from a local restaurant supply store so I don't have to pay shipping - if you do not have one of those, you can check some of the ones on line - Uline is one that comes to mind.
Good luck on your new venture - welcome to Cake Central

Welcome to CC!

I buy the hinged containers I find them better/cheaper for CCs, because if you buy the box you also have to buy the CC insert

I buy them from
www.wesellcoffee.com

They also sell CC boxes & inserts, fast shipping & excellent service

singerequipment dot com is a store local to me, and I get a 12ct plastic container and a 6ct. container there. I don't like boxes for cupcakes unless you have a really good holder inside of it, and my customers seem to like the plastic for keeping the extras fresh for a few days..

I also use the clamshell boxes from wesellcoffee.com . Their prices are great and their shipping is fast. The clamshells are high quality and my customers like being able to SEE what is in the box plus they keep the cupcakes in place better and keep them fresh longer. icon_smile.gif
