A friend was telling me earlier about how to make sequins out of it, but not sure what she said the technique is. But we're going to do it; I can't wait.

I'm even excited because a few weeks ago there was a thread about using sixlets instead of rolling fondant beads. I'm hooked, used them on top of each of the two bottom tiers of the squre rose cake. I could have gotten them on better, but they worked. And my friend was thrilled with her cake, so I guess they weren't too bad.

Is there a tutorial that shows how to make gelatin bubbles? Sounds interesting!

I sent you instructions

Got 'em! Thanks so much cownsj, you're the best!!! thumbs_up.gif

You're welcome Debi2. Have fun with them. The learning curve is small, but everyone holler if you have any questions. Once you make them, you'll find they're easy and fun to do. When I did the large one in my photos of the princess carriage, it took 3 coats of gelatin to make it work. With only 2 coats it torn open right away. That was about 7 or so inches high. It's in my photos.

Absolutely. Sending them now. Then I'm off to bed. So if anyone else asks, it'll have to wait til tomorrow; but more than happy to help. These are too much fun and unique not to share.

I'm interested in these bubbles as well, sounds like cownsj should just make a tutorial to post so they don't have to keep sending out all these emails! It's people like you though that make cakecentral such the awesome place that it is!

Also I am in love with the rose cake and brushed embroidery (on this cake here- http://cakecentral.com/gallery/2004122/2004220).

Your cakes are fantastic. I want to try the FBCT one of these days. I just forget when I'm done with one cake and have extra frosting to play with. Maybe this week. And that eifel tower is out of this world.
