Hi guys,

I cannot figure out how to make lime green fondant (or icing for that matter). I have pretty much all the Wilton colours -- do you mix a few colours together to get lime green, or do you have to buy a different brand lime green colour?

I would try a smaller batch and start with yellow and then add green. Maybe start with a pale yellow first.

Remember to start with small amounts of food coloring. You can always add more, but it is difficult to take away.

Lemon Yellow and Leaf Green should get you where you need to go.

I made the lime green wedding cake in my pics by starting with Wilton Lemon Yellow and adding Duff's Electric Green. It's one of my favorite colors!

Take a look at my dora cake, I used Americolor electric green. I love all of the "electric" colors!!!

I started with green then added yellow, then a touch or brown

I used Wilton lemon yellow first and added a very small amount of leaf green until it got to lime green.

I made lime green fondant by starting with yellow then adding Wilton Leaf Green until I got the desired shade. Here is an example:

I also used electric green , by americolor , on my tropical cake in my pics.

I used Duff's electric green for the tennis ball next to my tennis raquette. A little went a long way! AND, it's available at Michaels if you need it sooner rather than later... There's a 40% off coupon this week ;°)
