If I have a recipe that fills two 9" pans and I want to double it for a larger round 2-layer cake, what size would the recipe fill?? icon_confused.gif

Would doubling it fill two 12" rounds?

Also - it's a meringue type cake, so would using a larger round cause the cake to sink in the middle? Meringue cakes are so testy!

thx!

Here is a link that tells you how much batter each size pan fills. Some recipes tell you how many cups of batter it yields.

If you're going to use 12" pans I would suggest using a flower nail or 2 to keep the heat balanced throughout.
