Hi all,

So over the weekend I was trying to bake when I ran out of cream bouquet I put it in the batter and icing. It was after hours and my regular place had closed already. So I google and found a store that was open. So before I took the 40 minute drive I asked did he have Cream bouquet. He said yes, its now called princess. Is this true are they the same thing?

I know I have read on here where many have saud there are nuts in Princess but not in Cream bouquet so how can it be the same thing. I didn't buy it didn't want to take any chances my nephews have allergies.

Going to my regular place at lunch time today.

The emulsions are similar, but the ratios might be a tad bit different, and it's based on the brand name by the carrier, rather than whats in it. Both emulsions are based on almond, vanilla, and lemon, so go for the princess if thats the only option and tweak the flavor with your regular extracts if necessary to get close to the creme bouquet flavor. A lot of people really enjoy the princess emulsion, so I think you will be happy with the results.

Creme Bouquet substitute:

1 T. lemon extract or lemon juice
1 t. vanilla extract
1 t. almond extract
1 t. butter extract

I found this on another cake central post, so there may very well be almond in the creme bouquet. Look and see if the bottle lists a warning for nut allergy on it.
